Is a Prayer Meeting week.
Friday: Summer Social at Exmouth Beach
We are having a Church Summer Social on the 10th from 6:30-8:30pm at the Orcombe Point end of Exmouth Beach.
Pulled pork rolls and drinks will be provided for everyone to eat and enjoy together. We are planning a cardboard boat making competition for all ages. We ask that people form teams of up to 10 either beforehand or as you arrive. (only 1 person actually has to go in the boat - if it floats!)
We also welcome any beach games you’d like to bring and share.
Or if you’d like to simply bring a chair and enjoy the evening, that is very encouraged too!
If you’d like any further information, please speak to Anne Marie or Becky. We’d love this to be a good time of fun and fellowship for all ages.
We will also be inviting our Youth group and Friday Club families to join, so please see this as an opportunity for them to see more of us as a church family and make them feel welcome. -
Summer Junior Church Help Wanted
To give our regular Junior Church leaders a break over the summer, I (Becky) would love some people to help out! I’ll need two people a week, and all the teaching and activity materials will be prepared in advance.(as of 2nd July, I don’t have enough help to make the Junior Church able to run)

Last Christmas STBC helped us provide 221 Christmas gift bags for residents at the hotel. Now Scott and the international cafe team are collecting donations of items to go in a “Welcome to Exeter box” to residents as they arrive. Each box contains a variety of items and an information sheet, including details on free services for migrants, and an invitation to come and read the Bible with the team at the cafe on Monday evenings.
Currently we are asking for gifts of new products such as:
Deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, face cloths, lip balm, moisturiser, facial wipes, fidget toys, ear plugs, simple lined notebooks or A4 note pads, colouring books (suitable for adults or children), colouring pencil sets.
There is a box in the foyer for donations.
You can see a sample welcome box being packed here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/HLRuwTt_LzY

Church Weekend Away - we're off to Newquay again!
The Weekend Away is a key date in our church calendar. This year for the first time we will be joined by members of Silverton Evangelical Church and Beacon Heath Church, Exeter. This means we will have exclusive use of the hotel and all its facilities. The main purpose of the weekend is to grow together as God's family—sharing meals, chatting in the lounge or bar, learning from the Bible, praying together, worshipping God, enjoying all the facilities of the hotel and the fantastic sandy beach on the doorstep.
For more information and the booking form please click below:
There are also paper sign up forms available in the church if this is easier for you.
